Team View in MSS WDA

Dear Experts,

I want your help to do the below clients requirement in MSS team view.

Ex:Consider a HR Department  there are 10 emloyees reporting to their immediate line manager X and there is another department EX:Sales Dept (not a sub deptmt of HR Department) 3 employees in HR department will also report to sales dept manager Y, my clients requirement is  both the managers X and Y has to view these 3 employees in their MSS Team view Application( MSS-Add on BIZ view) ,By standard SAP_MANG and MSSDIREC evaluation paths the manager can view only the employees of his department or org unit or the department should be sub department.

How to implement the above requirement ? can we do it through standard relationship and OADP ?

it should be OADP thru the evaluation paths.

You can do your own paths in T77AW.

Thanks for your reply.

Correct me if i am wrong by default MSSBIZview  will consider the 'MSS_BIZ_RULE2' and in function module HRMSS_PERSON_EVAL_PATH 'MSSDIREC' evaluation path has been hardcoded apart from this MSS_TMV_RULE1 and MSS_TMV_RULE5 has been used in Employee information service if i create new evaluation path whether it will display in MSSBIZview(under HOME workset).

The standard should be able to support this case provided the 3 employees hold positions under both the org units. You do not need to do any customizing changes in my opinion.

But still if you have different requirement you can  define your own evaluation path say ZMSSDIREC.

In the MSS_BIZ_RULE2 object selection rule in addition to the function module HRMSS_PERSON_EVAL_PATH specify your own evaluation path ZMSSDIREC. Also you need to implement the note 1604280. The function module will start using your new eval path.

You can of course have custom ones as also explained in the note above

2.  Follow the instructions provided below manually to use alternate
     evaluation path -

     a) Open the following step in customizing(IMG): Personnel Management
        -> Organizational Management -> Basic Settings -> Maintain
        Evaluation Paths

     b) Copy the evaluation path MSSDIREC to your own and change the
        value of relationship from 900 to 904 in the individual
        maintenance. Save the data.

     c) Furthermore, use this new evaluation path in customizing for
        Object and Data Provider(OADP). In order to do this open the
        following step in IMG: Personnel Management -> Manager
        Self-service(Web Dynpro ABAP) -> Object and Data Provider ->
        Object Provider -> Define rules for Object Selection

     d) Position at the selection rule 'MSS_BIZ_RULE2' and go into
        details.

     e) Set the new evaluation path in the evaluation path field here.
