Hi,
We are using Push-Back type storage bins with 3 bin sections.
As per the standard , the putaway strategy can be achieved using pallet storage strategy .Is it possible to fix the bins for a particular product in the storage type which as storage behavior as pallet storage.
Is there any standard option available in EWM or alternate option to achieve the same.
Regards !!
Dear Thyagu ,
Please try below transaction for fix bin maintenance for material.
/SCWM/BINMAT - Maintain Fixed Storage Bin
/SCWM/FBINASN - Assign Fixed Storage Bins to Products
Try it and let me know if it matches your expectation.
Thanks

Hi,
so the pallets stand in front of each other and you can only reach the first one? You push them through to pick the one which was putaway first? That is not what the pallet strategy is for. Pallet strategy means the pallets stand next to each other, x in one bin, and you can reach all of them individually.
"Is it possible to fix the bins for a particular product in the storage type which as storage behavior as pallet storage."
You have to decide what you want , either fixed bins or pallet storage. Well, the system does not give you an error message if in the storage type with pallet storage behaviour you set the flag for fixed bins - but I did not test what comes out of it.

Hi Juergen,
Thanks for the information on pallet storage.

Yes the system does not give any error while doing the setting , but it doesn't determine the fixed bin during putaway for both pallet / Bulk storage behavior.
Regards,
Thyagu.
