Dear SAP gurus
I'm trying to make some general task lists. It is requiring me to set a main work center for the operation. Why? Why can't I leave this blank and have the work center set by the maintenance plan or at the time of creating a work order
As we are having different maintenance plants and the Equipments Shifts from one M.Plant to other M.Plant.....why can't I share task lists between Maintenance plants?

It is very good question,But as per my knowledge General Tasklist maintain at Maint. Plant with work center beacause maint. work center directly concern with control key,cost center,Activity type etc.

The work center which you mention in Task list should have been created at Planning plant level not at Maintenance plant level.
If you have common maintenance planning plant for all your maintenance planning plant, then you can have centralised general task list.

In my scenario: There is one planning plant and 25 maintenance plants.
so for every maintenance plant we are creating general maintenace task lists. We are facing the problem of using the task list for different plants.
When task list is created the planning plant is common, but the work center is maintenance plant relevant. so if we want to use the same task list for different maintenance plant then different work center is copied into the order for different maintenance plant.
So how to handle this situation. Either we need to create multiple task list with same detials but with different work centers or with blank workcenter which is not possible.
