Hi to All,

I have some issues regarding Conversion rate of Unit of measure. In transaction MIGO when i am inserting quantity with decimal, the conversion is also in decimal places, but user want it in round off. For an example, if i am receiving 20 kg = 5 ea quantity, then there is not any problem. but if i am entering 20.5 kg = 5 ea then the conversion is in 4.982 ea, its coming in decimal. In this scenario what should i do, that conversion should come in round figure.

Please help...

your example is wrong.

how can you have less EA if you increase the KG ?

You cannot round just one unit of measure at a receipt, this is logically incorrect

the conversion has to be mathematically correct in both directions.

you cannot avoid those decimals, even it does not seem to be logical as you cannot have partial packagings.

the conversion rate in standard is fix per material.

if you need to manage your material in kg and package size, then you would need to create a new material master per package size.

e.g. a material where a package contains 20 kg

and a second material where the package contains 20.5 kg

Alternative, you can use batch specific units of measure, so you can differentiate per batch record how much kg you have in a package.

Please check the setting of the unit of measure (kg) in IMG > Netweaver (6.0) > General settings > Check units of measurement.

There are two fields to consider: "Decimal places" and "Decimal pl. rounding". Based on your above requirement, select the option.

these are display options only, still SAP inventory management will store the quantities with 3 decimals.

In CUNI, the decimal place and the decimal place rounding are zero for EA UOM but still system take decimal by default.
