Hi,
Please let me know the significance of 'Group' Accounts in SAP CRM. Can we create multiple BPs(Individual Accounts/Persons) under this group.

Thanks for the reply. How can we add multiple BPs(accounts/contact person) to a group. I am unable to see any tab in GUI/assignment block in WebUI on Account creation/overview screen. Also, are we supposed to maintain any additional setting for BP of 'Group' ytpe' to work.

The Group is not a hierarchy or something similar. It's just another type of Bps. Similar to Organisations and Persons. So other BPs can be linked to the Group BP by relationships. Create the relationship of allowed type between for instance Group BP and contact person and you're done. Handle them as others BPs. No differences. And no additional settings needed.

We know that in transaction BP,we can create business partners in 3 categories (Person, Organisation and Group.)
This group is used to have BP's which have some processes in common ,and we can search the account based on the Bp Group name and also we can have a seperate unique custom number range for the required group,so we can search the BP easily based on the number range/group name.

We can group the set of accounts or contact persons or mix of both so that there many be some business process common to everyone and you can get the BP numbers based on group directly.
