SLDCHECK errors

Hi All.

In my PI 7.3EHP1 system.when i check the SLD connection test, am getting error

SLD Connection Test

Communication mode: HTTP only (WBEM client)

SLD destination settings:

  Alias:       SAP_CONFIG

  Host name:   n******

  Port number: 50000

  User:        PIAPPLUSER

Testing HTTP connection to the SLD server...

An exception has occurred:

Exception on SLD server: HTTP status: 401  Unauthorized - User logon data is invalid or user has no authorization (password change required)

Connection to SLD does not work

Additionally i ran SLD CHECK to verify the connection too.Am getting below details::

Exchange Infrastructure: Test LCR Connection

Communication mode: HTTP only (WBEM client)

SLD destination settings:

  Alias:       SAP_CONFIG

  Host name:   n*******

  Port number: 50000

  User:        PIAPPLUSER

Use transaction SLDAPICUST if you wish to maintain the SLD server access data

Launching the SLD GUI in a separate browser window...

=> Verify in the browser GUI that the SLD is in a healthy running state!

Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS

Retrieving data from the SLD server...

Function call returned exception code     3

=> Check whether the SLD is running!

Summary: Connection to SLD does not work

=> Check SLD function and configurations

further i logged in to NWA with my id and J2EE_ADMIN id and am unable to do any change under administartion and gives me a warning as "You are not having proper role ....".Let me know how to give the  proper authorizations to theJ2EE_ADMIN id and my id so that i can try changing the requirements for PI USERS.

Hi bharatram,

Hope you are doing good.

Refer the notes:

- 764393 Configuration of the SAP System Landscape Directory

- 768452 Troubleshooting SLDCHECK

- 1650035  SLDDSUSER locked due to incorrect logon to SLD

The error appears to be a authentication problem in the SLD configuration, meaning either you correct the password in the transactions or change them for the users. Check the users:

ABAP system, transaction SLDAPICUST,

VisualAdmin, Service SLD Data Supplier 

J2EE: JCo RFC Provider

and DIAGNOSTIC AGENT Script smdsetup with arguments

Thanks for helping me

I referred the notes and am not having Visual Admin as it is PI7.3EHP1 .I tried resetting the password at SU01 for PIAPPLUSER and tried connecting SLDCHECK and SLDAPICUST .Am still getting the error

while accessing SLDCHECK

Retrieving data from the SLD server...

Function call returned exception code     3

and while accessing SLDAPICUST am getting below error too

"Exception on SLD server: HTTP status: 401  Unauthorized - User logon data is invalid or user has no authorization (password change required)".

Am able to connect to nwa but i dont  want the errors and i want clear the above errors too

Hi Ram,

Visual Admin is not available in PI7.3 EHP1.

So you can use NWA page instead of Visual Admin

http://hostname:50000/nwa

NWA -> Configuration - >Scenarios -> Configuration Wizard -> Functional Unit Configuration UI -> System Landscape Directory > Enable Automatically - Then provide SLD system credentials.

For Checking

For checking : NWA -> Configuration -> Infrastructure -> SLD Data Supplier Configuration - Collect & Send Data

Hi Srini,

SLD enabled automatically enabled  when i ran the Wizard

am able to send and collect data wiithin SLD data supplier configuration too.

But still am facing the error while giving sldcheck and sldapicust.Let me know anything further has to be done ?

Hi Ram,

Please check with your user name.

We should use SLDDSUSER & SLDAPIUSER

Hi Srini,

i tried the belo things too .

SLDAPICUST is configured... but my user is called piappluser(i have given user type as dialog) .

An exception has occurred:

connection to SLD does not work

When using SXMB_ADM for config. the integration engine a lookup on the sld fails with the msg "No access to system landscape at present".

Additionally i gave user tye as service user to piappluser AND TRIED SLDAPICUST and below is the summary:

Testing HTTP connection to the SLD server...

An exception has occurred:

Hi Ram,

Then use RZ70 to re-deploy ABAP level of component/system information to SLD.

Set the env variable CPIC_MAX_CONV to 5000 in the .login profile file located in the home folder of <sid>adm.

Restart SAP instance.

Try SLDCHECK again

Hi Srini,

Thanks a lot for guiding me and now am able to ping SLDCHECK without errors.I created the users

as per your suggestions SLDDSUSER & SLDAPIUSER and everything is fine with the transactions SLDCHECK,SXMB_IFR and SLDAPICUST and SXMB_ADM too.
