How to change ESS & MSS backend Client.

Dear All,

we are running fine with ESS and MSS application, but we wont to change back-end client for same.

currently back-end client is 200 now we want 300.

accept Jco where we have to do necessary changes on ABAP and JAVA side.

Hiten,

Did you ever move forward on this?  I need to use two clients for the same backend.  Wasn't sure if I could just copy the JCo's or use a unique naming convention.

Hi Daniel,

Yes we have made the changes in Jco's of ESS and MSS Client and its running fine from last 1year.

You also have to change the Client number in all the system objects create in Portal which point to ECC system. Ess/MSS uses lot of Systerm objects, make sure you change the client number there as well

Hi Hilten,

Maybe I'm forgetting some details but I think changing the JCo connection parameter should be enough. Does it not work by simply doing that?
