Output type not triggered in delivery for background PGI during shipment start

Hi,

  We have a scenario where an output type is not triggered( medium 5 - external send ) in delivery where PGI is done in background when shipment start is selected and shipment is saved.

  Here we are using activity profile to trigger PGI in background.

  Condition record is maintained and when i check the determination analysis in VL02n it says output found.

  I cannot see the output in VL03n but when i got to VL02n i can see the output but not processed( yellow tarffic light) and in further data it is send immediately coming from condition records and once we save the output gets processed .

  Please help.

We solved the following way:

1. Used dispatch time of 3 on condition record so that output was created when delivery was created (with yellow light)

2. Removed all output control requirements

3. Configured activity profile in shipment type to run output program at our desired point in the shipment process (in our case, at completion).

In the condition record check if the printer name is maintained under Communication.

If there is no issue with your output type condition record maintenance in VV21/VV22 for delivery. Then check following:

1. Is PGI done for the delivery doc(VL02N) on completion of shipment(VT02N)
2. Do you have any routine maintained as requirement against your output type in output procedure? Ideally. for these kind of scenario, we use standard routine 1 - Delivery GI posted.
3. In your output type condition record for delivery VV21. The dispatch time should either be 3 - Send with application own transaction or 4 - Send immediately (when saving the application)

Hi Jyoti,

1) PGI is done when we hit the shipment start button(VT01n ) through activity profile.

2) We are using requirement 15 (QualtyCertGIPosted 1) as this output is creation of certificate profile on PGI

3) In condition record(VV21/22) we are using 4- send immediately.

When we do the PGI from delivery this output gets triggered but when PGI is done through Shipment(shipment start) then PGI happens but this output is not triggered.

Use requirement 1 and try.

Further, if your material is batch managed, then probably we you are triggering PGI through shipment doc. Quality certificate is not getting generated for items.
