Hi All,
From what I understand SAP PA is a tool to visualise and predict data with in-built algorithms that are available with the tool.
However, from what I read about HANA sp05 (I haven't had the opportunity to try it out), we can write complex algorithms directly in it. What's more several R and L libraries are available for use.
So what role will SAP PA play in the future? Is it predominantly used to analyse data from non-hana sources?

Hi,
Indeed, some algorythms will be duplicated in both HANA and PA, including R ones.
Yes, it safe assume that not everyone will be running HANA for some time!
Moreover, having the algorythms in PA means the analyst doesn't have to contact IT to calculate the statistical analysis at source.
Regards,
H
