BI Reports under Strategic Purchasing role not working in NWBC for HTML

Hello Experts,

I´m using Netweaver Business Client for SRM. I need to show BI reports also. These BI reports are in different system.

The launchpad is configured such that it shows SRM reports in one section and BI reports in the other section. The problem is SRM reports get executed while BI reports do not. It states that the Query does not exist in the server.The queries exist in BI but I don't know how to change the reference, i.e. how to tell the system that the BI query is in the BI environment and not in the SRM.

Any pointers regarding the issue will be of great help.

Hi,

For BI Reporting, you need to have BI system, and BI_CONT for SRM

should be the latest version and be active.

Would you please logon into the BI BEX analyzer and execute the BI queries?

Meanwhile in trx sm59, for the connection to BW system, what 'Path Prefix' did you set?

Hi Ivy,

I have BI_CONTENT for SRM version 747 SP 8 and It's active.
I also tried to execute some BI queries related to SRM using BI BEX analyser and succeeded.

But what do you mean by 'Path Prefix' ? I'm not sure I set any Path Prefix while creating the RFC connexion between BW and SRM.

Hi Maha,

While configuring RFC connection between BW and SRM, there is a field 'path prefix' in the tab 'technical settings'(trx sm59).

Please check the value in this field.

The path prefix that I set for the HTTP connection between SRM and BW in SRM system is "/default_host/sap/bw/" but it still not working

Am I on the right path? And is there any other configs to set in order to display the BI reports bellow?

would you please set path prefix as '/sap/BW/BEx' and retest the issue?

Hi Ivy,

I set the prefix path to "sap/bw/BEx/" and the connection worked fine.

Now, while executing NWBC to dispaly the BI reports, I get the error :

"Components [my query] (version A) do not exist on the database

The requested query [my query] does not exist on the current server

Unknown or deleted query"

In the SRM launchpad (LPD_CUST) the query menu is defined and the system alias SAP_BI is set to the BI reports.

Am I missing something ?

Hi Filipe,

These are the steps that I followed to configure the BI reports :

• BW-Based Analytics :

       SPRO>SRM Server >Analytics >Activate/Deactivate BW-Based Analytics

• SPRO (BW server): activate settings for reporting and Analysis (Bex Web) and (Settings for reporting and Analysis)
• SICF (BW server): Activate the service BEx
• SM59 (SRM server): Create HTTP connexion in SRM with BW server as a target and the path prefix '/sap/BW/BEx', service = port http of bw server
• In the SRM launchpad (LPD_CUST), the query menu should be defined and the system alias SAP_BW set to the BI reports
• Activate BW cubes, ODS and queries

Hi Maha,

This discussion has been of a great help. We did all the steps mentioned in the discussion. We still getting the error message " The requested query /0BBP_SC_Q007 does not exist on the current server " .

My question is in LPD_CUST is it mandatory to use Alias as SAP_BW. We have a RFC connection called BWRFC, can we use it ?

We did create SAP_BW and used it in Alias but when it trys to connect to BW its prompting for credentials and with a wrong client , we did specially mentioned it to use Client 10, but still prompts with client 20.

So we changed and used BWRFC and we started getting this error message. As suggested by Ivy we did implement the OSS note. Still we are getting the error message.

Any input will be of a great help.

Did you try to replace the System Alias SAP_BW in LPD_CUST with your BW Logical System itself?

The logical system is specified in Table T000 in your BW system.
