Performance Issue with Dashboard

Former Member

Hi Experts,

Recently we implemented SAP Best Practice for our client. We had to design a set of dashboards for it. Some dashboards are giving big performance issues and we are unable to fix it. The data is extracted from R3 via an infoset through a live office and then to the dashboards. We do not know where and how to check the performance issue and fix it. The sales dashboard takes a staggering time of five minutes to load. I think you can understand our situation.

Please give us a solution and guide us.

Thanks and anticipating your favorable reply,

With Kind Regards,

Kannan

Hi Kannan,

Try to identify, if the reports from which you have pulled out the Live Office Reports are taking that much time to load.

If not then please then it would imply that the target file is heavy hence visit the XLF file and tune the dashboard via the document settings and replace unnecessary excel calculations which can be achieved via xceclius components like using filtered rows in a combo box etc.

Hi Kannan,

I agree with Abhishek, you need to drill down to problem. first check each infoset queries individually. If any specific query is creating a performance issue then try to fix the performance for that query.

If issue is in dashboard then copy dashboard and try to find out if any calculations can be avoided or optimized or moved to Infoset query.
