Dear Gurus

I am trying to close the Asset year AJAB but i get the error message saying Depreciation not posted completely

If i execute AFAB, it says the accounting year is closed. we cannot reopen the accounting period for the past year due to the auditory issues.

Can you share your thoughts, what can be solution for it.

Also i have already searched for it but in vain.

Regards

1). Need to open back dated period

2) Also need to take screenshot before execution of “AFAB” -> to know the balances of depreciation

3) Execute the “AFAB”à in the repeat run by selecting appropriate assets.

4). Go to OAMK and remove reconciliation

5). Go to FS00 remove post automatically check for depreciation account

6). Go F-90 and post manual entry for accumulated depreciation and depreciation

7). Again Go to OAMK and FS00 make changes for GL accounts.

8). Post a finance JV to make nil impact to the financial statement

9) Post passing the finance JV kindly check the depreciation GL account values.

10) Close fiscal year AFAB

😎 Post a finance JV to make nil impact to the financial statement. ( If business team is ready to share the non-recon GL account kindly use that GL account to post the accumulated portion GL account)

10) Post passing the finance JV kindly check the depreciation GL account values.

Hi, go to the Table T093C and check the field LGJAHR to see which see which FY is opened? May be based on that we may proceed.

Hello

Thanks for your reply.

In transaction OAAQ its 2009 and table T093C its 2011.

I am not sure how it helps.

Kind Regards

OAAQ shows the FY closed. Where as LGJAHR field in the Table T093C shows the current FY. I wonder why there is a discrepancy between the both? I mean, OAAQ supposed to show 2010 not 2009.  Check for SAP Notes regarding this issue, if not create a OSS Message.

Hello

Thanks for your reply.

There is no need to raise an OSS.

It is because there can be a buffer of two year and the reason why we are facing the issue.

Hello

Check for the asset for which depreciation needs to be posted. Create a negative unplanned depreciation of the same amount. For this you have to create a transaction type for negative depreciation (copy the transaction type for unplanned depreciation and make the posting as credit). So the net depreciation to be posted will be zero. Now open the previous fiscal year and post depreciation. The FI balance will not change even though there are some addition entries. Then go ahead with the fiscal year close.

Hi,

May be there is some periodic postings which need to be run, Go to the t.code: ASKB, execute in the test mode, Please check is there any periodic postings has to be post, If the fiscal year already closed, go to the t.code: OAAQ and you can reopen the fiscal year and make sure it should be open for FI posting period for Depreciation. Then execute the ASKB and do the Year end closing.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Both

Appreciate your answers.

But i cannot open the periods now. We are trying to close the year 2010.

Is there any other option than opening the periods.

Execute AFAB with current period and year by selecting "Unplanned Posting run"

Hi,

If there any posting in ASKB, As per my knowledge it is not possible without open the posting periods, If there no periodic postings then you can try recalculation of Depreciation using the t.code: AFAR.

Thanks & Regards

Hello,

Can you run the depreciation AFAB "Unplanned Posting run", system will post the entire depreciation in current month.

then you can close the period.

Request you to replicate the scenario in test system first.

Thanks and Regards
