Feasibility of using a custom BRFPlus application for Purchasing Release Strategy

Hi,

We are looking at the feasiblity of building a custom BRFPlus application and using it to replace the traditional purchasing release strategy process. Has anybody else done this already? Do you have any tips or advice? We are first looking to check the feasibility of overriding the default release strategy configurations altogether. I believe building the BRFPlus application and plugging it in can be achieved once we identify exits or BADI, which I am sure exists.

Any advice or thoughts welcome.

Hi Saravanan,

You could use 'Rule resolution via user exit' (value of field workflow = 9 under Rel. codes) and implement a BRFplus function call in customer exit M06E0005. So for updating agents you would then need to make changes in your BRFplus expressions without touching the Release config.
