I'm running VS2012 on a Windows7 64-bit computer.
1. First I backed up my computer (I'm doing a refresh and reinstalling all my software).
2. I ran CRforVS_13_0_5.exe.
3. When it got down to 5 minutes to go I got an error that stated "Error 2753. The File 'Agent.exe.6ED28686_7B19_420C_B255_5B6C1BD2C705" is not marked for installation".
4. I clicked on the OK button and the install aborted.
5. I restored from my backup.
6. I ran the CRRuntime_64bit_13_0_5.msi. It ran without error.
7. I rebooted my computer.
8. When I opened VS2012 the Crystal items appeared in the toolbox.
9. When I attempted to add a crystal report to a project only "Report" and "Report Wizard" appear in the New Items.
Hi Bob,
What do you mean by following statements?
I am doing a refresh & I restored from my backup.
What happens when you try to install everything on new/clean machine?

By Refresh I meant using my Recovery discs to return the computer to factory condition. I then started installing all of my software step by step. After certain steps I did a backup so I could return to that point if something went wrong. One of those backups was just prior to installing SAP Crystal Reports.
Here's want I just completed:
1. I created a Windows7 32-bit VMware VM.
2. Installed VS2012.
3. Installed SAP CR using the EXE and it installed without serror.
4. On my Desktop computer (not in the VM) running WInsows7 64-bit, I restored to the point just prior to installing SAP CR.
5. Ran the SAP CR EXE and it failed with the 2753 error.
6. Ran the SAP CR EXE a second time and selected to REINSTALL the software. It ran and completed without error.
I did steps 4 through 6 several times. Each time step 5 failed and step 6 completed without error.
Here are list of issues which are similar to what you are facing and Google might reveal more if you search with '2753 crystal report'

Not sure what could have caused it, but long back there were certain dlls from other products which were interfering with installer. This could be one of the causes. If you are able to point to a specific dll or registry that would be helpful. SAP guys might try replicating it or else you can create a phone case which take precedence over thread, if this is found as a bug you will be given the refund.

Hi Saurabh,
I am currently running Windows 7 and have updated to Visual Studio 2012. After installing 2012 I downloaded and ran Crystal Support Pack 5 and am experiencing error 2753. My computer is 32 bit. I've tried everything I can think of. I.E. Unstalling previous versions of VB Studio, creating a new temp folder, using the transform utility which will only work when pointing to the msi file, not the setup.exe. The crystal support pack download page says setup.exe must specifically be run or the update won't take. All google info points to crystal 2010. Any help would be appreciated.
Steve.
Hello Bob
Not sure if you've seen KBA 1530061 - Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Installation Error 2753 ?
