SAP CRM WebUI - Keyboard shortcut for SAVE Button

Hello,

sorry for this simple question:

In webui the user could define own Keyboard shortcuts in the personalisation.

But i haven´t found an Option the maintain a Keyboard shortcut for the "SAVE" Button like in SAP GUI "CNTRL-S"?

Is there any shortcut available for SAVE?

Hi Manfred,

There is no direct shortcut mechanism available for this.

There is an alternative way by which you can achieve this to a certain extend.

Under Personalize Shortcuts->Focus Shortcuts, we have the option 'Focus on workarea toolbar'.

You can a set shortcut key for this. If this shortcut key is pressed, it will take you to the first enabled button on the overview page toolbar. Since the 'SAVE' button, if available and enabled, will be the first one in the workarea tool bar, the focus will be on the SAVE button, when the short cut key is pressed. Once the focus is there, user can press 'Enter' key which will perform the save operation.

The user should be aware that the focus is going to the first enabled button on the toolbar.e.g, if the page is not in edit mode, then the focus will be on the next enabled button after 'SAVE' button, in that order from left to right.

I would suggest you to avoid "CNTRL-S" and other similar browser shortcuts as the browser has the precedence first and only then CRM WebUI.
