Permit Functionality

Hello All,

I wanted to use the Permits in both the below cases.

1.

For control on order release based on the safety aspects(Hot work permit,

Confined space permit etc)

2. For conteol on order release based on the

Planned cost of the order, like if the value is below 100$, "A" will release. If

the value is betwen 101$ to 200$, "B" will release.

Question is can I

have both the controls inplace at a time, like first the relse of permits based

on the type of work need to be done and then the release should happen based

onthe value in Planned cost. Looked in the forum for a combination of both types

of permits, but could find individual posts for release of order either on the

planned cost or on the type of work, but not both.

Did anyone work for a

similar scenario, is so please help me by sharing the process.

Create 3 Permits.

1. Hot Work Permit / Confined Space Permit
2. Planned Cost less than 100 $
3. Planned Cost is 101 to 200 $

For 2 & 3rd Permits, assign classification values according to the requirement.

Using Authorisation, you can control the Permit release.

Thank you for the reply. I have gone throught the document that is attached. Still have some doubt on the assignment of the permits

Suppose that the planned cost in the order is betweem 101$ to 200$, and the Hot work permit is already assigned to the equipment master, then when I create a maintenance order on the equipment, will the Hot work permit and the Planned cost approval permit will get assigned to the order automatically if the configuration is done as per the document sent by you?

While assigning the Permit in Equipment Master, you have the option as Propose which will derive the Permit to the Order automatically.
