BEx text element not displayed properly

Former Member

Dear Experts,

I have a strange situation, where all texts (KYF, element, query, ... descriptions are not displayed in the 1st execution of the query.

Just technical names are displayed.

But after log-off and log-on all descriptions are displayed as they should.

The same situation is every time when I enter a BEx query change (BEx Query Designer) via BEx Analyzer and run the Query again (doesn’t meather if the Query was changed or not).

And after log-off and log-on all descriptions displayed again.

Is this some Basis settings or some BC service is not working correctly?

TXH

Tom

Hi Tomaz,

If you are using BW 7.31 version, SAP note 1824688 was released regarding this issue or else it could

be related to Microsoft and in this case, for each report where you see this problem :

* Save the workbook locally in xlsm format and afterwards

* Save the locally saved workbook back to the BW server.

Hope it helps,

Kind Regards

Christine

Tomaž,

did yiu resolved this issue. I do have a kind of similar issue. After BW upgrade to EHP1 (7.0 to 7.01) nor keys nor texts of characteristics and key figures are displayed when executing query in BEx Analyzer.

However, RSRT and Analysis for Office works fine.

Kind regards, Joško.

Hi Tomaž,

thanks for you info. It seems like we had a kind of different problem and setting up paramters in tx RS_FRONTEND_INIT helped in our case. Thanks again.

Kind regards,
