hi,

what is your exact requirement?

you can use MMRV transaction to allow postings in previous period.

also note : by default this kind of postings are activated during period closing.

if you do not want to post by default that is also possible in MMRV.

Hi Ganesh,

If you realize that the stock was too small/big in last month and the purpose is ONLY to show the right stock figures for a month in the accounting, then you have can:

1. Run MMRV to allow postings in previous period
2. Run MM03 and write down stock amount for current and previous period.
3. Run MB52 to write down what you have on stock right now
4. Empty the stock with MB11 MOV 711. Day = today in current month ( posting and document has to be equal)
5. Decrease/increase the stock the last day of previos period with MB11 MOV 711 or 712.
6. Run MB52 and check what you have on stock
7. Run MB11 MOV 712 and add the difference of current stock in step 2 and the stock amount from previos period from step 6. Day = today in current month

NOTE! If you are using batch management for the material, then you have another situation, which are more complex.

System will allow only 2 open periods stocks postings (Last Month or Present Month) as per mmrv period indications.

The question was stock from current period to previous period and NOT 2 periods.

You can move the stock from current period to previous period. but you cannot move stock from previous period to current period.

In that kind of situation you need to make a PI count.
