Hi Experts,
I activated the option Lowercase for an infobject : i got the follwoing warning:
Characteristic XXXX Lower case makes selection of char. values difficult
Regarding your experience, Do you think that activating this option will cause me performances issues?
Do you recommand to activate or desactivate this option?
I know it's only a warning, it seems to be nothing, but i prefer ask you experts to avoid any issues in the future...
Thanks.
Amine
Hi Amine,
its depend business data. if your info object will get lower case data from source, better to use this option, other wise you will get invalid char issue at DTP level.
if your sure like you won't get lower case letter from source system thru this infoobject, you can go without selection.
Better to go with lower case option. because endusers may not be careful while entering in data at source system side.
Thanks

Hi Amine,
Actually i didn't heared any perorformance issue regarding this lower case letter check box.
By this options, just continue the data load without stopping, due to lower case letters in your data flow(thru this object).
Some more info.

Hi Amine,
there is no problem in performance
coz as per my knowledge if u use lower case check box in IO creation then no problem
coz it will accept both upper as well as lower
so if there will be any mistake from the user while entering the data also u wont get any # error.
so u can use .

Verma
