data migration for payroll from legacy system

hi

part of my study of hcm .case study where we implement a HCM  FOR company (only hcm  ).

for data migration for time managment and payroll from the legacy system can we use the LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench).

note:

- company currently recording the attendance and absence manually in Time sheet.

Hi,

what do you mean by payroll data migration?

If you are talking about master data (infotypes) => you can use LSMW

If you are talking calculated payroll results => this is usually done through into tables T558A.

A program that can be used to upload this data is RPULKT00.  Please read the documentation of this program as it contains more info on the procedure to upload this into the payroll clusters.  If you perform a search on SDN on T558A you can find more useful info.

Dear Ohoud AL-Shmrani,

In continuation to SAP Guru, Tom Rottiers

The Master Data of Payroll Infoypes can be uploaded through LSMW or BDC and Legacy Payroll results i.e the salaries already calculated and Paid through Legacy are uploaded using INLK program(if it is India Payroll) .

1.Data load program (HINUULK0 ) that facilitates the transfer of data into the SAP R/3 system. It loads the data saved in the spreadsheet into the Payroll Account Transfer: Payroll Periods table (T558B), and Payroll Account Transfer: Old Wage Types table (T558C) in the SAP R/3 system. These are the data conversion tables for the Mid Year Go Live functionality.

If it is a Midyear Go-Live then only INLK is used.If the the Go-Live is from the Start of the Financial year,INLK is not required.Only Master Data of Payroll info types has to be updated through BDC and LSMW
