GR for consignment stock and standard purchasing organization

Company has multiple purchasing organisations associated with a lant and would like to purchase connsignment stocks from different purchasing organizations for the same plant.

However, maintenance of standard purchasing organization configuration is required to be able to do the GR for consignment stock from pricing perspective.

However, multiple customers do have this need.  Verified that there is no user exit or Badi to manipulate this.

Any one has come across the scenario and how they are able to procure consignment stock for the same plant from more than one purchasing organization.

I have as well 2 purchasing organisation per plant, one for the chemical raw materials and another one for all the MRO procurement.

for consignment it is necessary to have a standard purchasing organization assigned to the plant. And this can only be one.

if I have chemical items AND MRO items in consignment, then my design is a kind of broken, as I need to maintain my consignment info records with the standard purchasing organisation.

Why you have assigned multiple purchasing organizaitons to a single plant? What you have mentioned already is the standard sap behaviour because system defauls the standard purchasing org. if you create a po for some material.

What is your valuation area?

Can you give more business background of your requirement and your organization structure!

In general,Material  valuated at Plant level  and Purchasing organization is used for reporting purpose.

Scenario:

Plant is a valation area.

One plant assigned to more than one purchasing organization.  Would like to buy consignment stock for both purchasing organization.

SAP requires standard purchasing organization to buy consignment stocki as it needs price data at the time of GR else it errors out with a message M7165  Not able to find purchasing organization.

If you assing standard purch org, then you cannot buy for another purchasing organization as system determines the standard purch org as the default purch org.

ex. Part A,  Part B, PART C are in Plant PL01 and wpould like to buy purch org  PRG1 and PRG2.

Wouod like to buy part A from PRG! as consignment

Part B from PRG2 as consignment

Part C from PRG2 or PRG1 as direct procurement.

In general,purchasing organization negotiates conditions of purchase with vendors for one or more plants where it legally responsible for completing purchasing activities to procures materials and its related services, negotiates conditions of purchase with vendors.

Why you have multiple purchasing organizations by having a single plant?

Now in your special business process,who is your vendor and who is your customer.
