Big up to you sir and THANK YOU. This offers us beginners a huge boost in trying to understand MM and its functionality and its intergration with other modules.

I understand the frustration to thos that are well versed in there fireld when people like me post queries on basic stuff. they just need to understand that we want to progress at a rapid rate so that we can be able to market ourselves for better opportunities.

Once again thank you for setting the ball roll on making available the simple stuff that makes MM and other modules easier to understand

I am new to MM and have been tasked with creating a Material Master from the thousands of material data provided by our vendor(s). Part of what I need to do is determine what material is serialized and what is not. Is there a general rule-of-thumb for this? Is this something that the vendor would have? Is this a business decision?

I would suggest you to buy the book "Customzing Materials Management Processes in SAP ERP operations", This book contains Business scenario, Process steps, account postings and customization, you must buy this immediately
