Alerting PI 7.3 Java - javax.mail.MessagingException: [EOF]

Hello experts,

I have configurated Alerts on PI 7.3 as Michal's blog:

http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2012/03/25/michals-pi-tips-component-based-m...

I've also created a Job "AlertConsumerJob" that is aggretating the alerts properly, however I am getting an error in the log tab:

javax.mail.MessagingException: [EOF].

The following is the extended error that appears on the Error monitor:

onJob(JobContext)
[EXCEPTION]

The main reason I think of is server requires authentication from the client.  This is not happening.  First check with mail server administrators what kind of authentication they expect from PI.  This would help.

Also send mail to an another host and see whether that works.

HI,

The Mail server which you configured for alert in PI is able to access the server. Try to check wit basis team for access control. Whatever Id which you set as  receiver mail id should be present in that mail server.

Hi Mani,

I've sent the question to my Basis Team, but they say everything is well configured.

I will try to do the configuration with a local SMTP server.

I will keep updated the post.

Joaquín.
