Hi all,

I create a report and added 3 filters on the filter bar,I am looking for a right to disable/hide  the filter button ( RED on the image highlighted ).

So user will not add any additional filters other than using 3 filters I created.

From the below image, I need to disable or hide the Filter button ( The one in the RED )

To my knowledge it is not possible. You can see this option is available for the user in the view mode itself. So if you try to remove it from teh CMC then the dropdowns will be greyed out for the users.

But if you don't give users the authorization to save the report in the public folders then it does not matter even if they add the filters..right???

The reason for looking this right is , I am trying to implement your solution  and want to make sure users should not mess them up by adding additional filters or messing the existing ones.

Thanks again

Unfortunately, I could not find the workaround for getting the Dim value in the hover functionality

It does not show up when we use any formula in the variable.

I don't see an option to remove the existing filters for the filter bar in reading mode.

Hi RUC,

Hope you are using XI 3.1 SP2 or higher version, If so You can try and use input control combo boxes instead of using drill filters and see to it you disable creation and edit rights for users, so they can only play around with the existing input controls on the report.

Let me know if there is any specific reason as to why you cannot go for input controls instead of drill filters?

Thanks

Mallik

I don't think input control works for this solution. I tried and it doesn't
