Hello Experts,
I am configuring DVM in solution manager 7.0 EHP1 system i need to know is it required to configure BPmon first before configuring DVM ?
I am looking the following wiki document.
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechOps/DVM+Cockpit+for+SAP+Solution+Manager+7.0
Could you help me to get more information on DVM configuration for Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 SPS26.

Hi,
If your looking to create BPMON alert for DVM - you can check this KPI: DVM Cockpit: Table Analysis.
Also, i found very useful information in this link: SAP Solution Manager:Data Volume Management(DVM).

HI Gupta,
No BPmon is not a Prerequisite for configuring DVM but it will complements each other along with other Functions like JSM, E2E, DCM and BPMon Optimization which follow RUN Methodology. DVM need to set on based of Historical data and Strategy made to according to the growth of your system per month (ex More then 20gb growth of ur system) and Total size of the System (Ex 500 gb). Mainly DVM works around 4 important factors :
1) Avoidance
2) Summarization
3) Deletion
4) Archive
May be i think if you can get Material of E2E300_EN_Col84_FV_A4 Doc which will have information about configuring DVM for EHp1. Might help.
Best Regards,
Shravan.

Hello,
no, BPMon is no prerequisites for the DVM Cockpit. It is just that for historc reasons some of the features in DVM re-use infrastructure from BPMon. That's why you see some SAP notes related to BPMon as technical preprequisites, but no actual BPMon setup is required.
