I am able to connect succesfully to ECC in CMC,import and view table also in InfoSteward. However when I run profile job I have the following error

The Subtask process [subtask id=701] has completed with error: The SAP job was canceled for host < >, job name <a5fbd76ed8f711e2b6b14d5844b07315>, job count <17481300>, job log from SAP <20130619, 174813, Job started

20130619, 174813, Step 001 started (program /BODS/RPT_STREAM_READ_TABLE, variant &0000000000011, user ID MEDISER)

20130619, 174813, The destination SAPDS has not been maintained! (see long text)

20130619, 174813, Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE

>.. (TSK-10091)

[I] 2013-06-19 17:48:36.437 Processed [1] of [1] sub tasks. (TSK-10047)

The same table when I export to a file and create a fileformat and run the profile job ,the job runs succesfully.

Why is the job not running with the table coming directly from ECC.

I expect you decided to use the RFC data transfer method for your data insight connection to the SAP ECC system. And in the configuration, you have set the RFC destination to "SAPDS".

Keep in mind that as IS uses underlying Data Services engine to reading the data from the SAP ECC system, you need to follow the necessary steps for reading data from SAP ECC and with that it is necessary to define the destination of the name SAPDS (or your own destination name) within the SAP ECC system.

The SAP Data Services Wiki maintained by Werner Daehn might give you a good insight into the RFC Transport method:

Hello,

Correct version of transports are key. Make sure you import the correct transport from supplement document from 2-3.

Thanks,
