we are using the new downloaded tool (SAPJVMSWITCH00P_13-20008224.SAR)

running on IBM-i , the restart procedure now is running for more than 52 min,

what to do?

it seems, the tool did not recognize the already running system?

will a cancel of the tool-clientsession cancel the whole execute-step?

Hi,

What is the current state of the java system?

Is it completely stopped and trying to start or is it trying to shutdown and then restart.

You can manually try to shutdown and start and then continue with the JVM switch tool

if the actual switch over has happened.

Also, check with sidadm the JAVA_HOME variable to confirm the switch process?

Regards,

Akshay

the system is up and running, two java-server process + SDM are running o.k.

JAVA_HOME     =  '/usr/sap/EXE/DVEBMGS11/exe/sapjvm_4'

i created a support-ticket (0000573493-2013) for further investigations.

the problem was the same as here:  =>  http://scn.sap.com/thread/3380335

here is the answer of the SAP-support:

The 2nd screenshot in your post from Jun 26, 2013 12:38 PM shows 3 processes that should not be marked as instance relevant processes tracked by 'sapstartsrv'. The start profile entries for XDN are completely superfluous as XDN will be started by 'sapstart' automatically if missing.

The entries for 'sapccmsr' and 'sapccm4x' have to be switch from "Start_Program_nn" entries to "Execute_nn" entries. This changes the behaviour how they are launched by 'sapstart'. With the "Execute_nn" entries the programs will not longer tracked by 'sapstartsrv'.
