SAP Certification

Hi Friends,

I am working as SAP QA Tester of SAP HCM and SAP FI -AP Modules. I want to move to Consultant role. I am confused between choosing which module I need to choose for SAP Certification.

SAP HCM or Success Factor

or SAP FI or SAP Basis.

Can some one please advice me. If do Basis, how the future would be, What in the case of other SAP Modules (SAP HCM or Success Factor or SAP FI)

Hi Jashim,

The modules needs to be selected based on your interest, education, domain knowledge, but NOT based on the market. Every module has its own market share.

FI is vast modules and it has number of sub modules. HCM is not a bad option either.

For basis most of the work is remotely done. Need to get ready for odd shifts.

You need to decide each modules pros and cons.

If you have plan to work as HR expert in any enterprise, then you should go for SAP new cloud based HCM software i.e SAP SuccessFactors. It offers flexible core HR features including the three modules.

• 1.Employee Central
• 2. Employee Central Payroll
• 3. Employee central service center

The SAP SuccessFactors provides the planned HR modules like learning and development, recruitment, payroll etc.

Dear Jashim,

As you had mentioned that you are already working as a testing consultant in HR and FI Modules, you can better choose either one instead of going for 'Basis'. The reason behind this is Functional consultants have more onsite opportunities whereas Basis or other technical consultants dont have .

Now out of HR and FI, as per the statistics, FI stands little more demand than HCM (HR).

As a HCM consultant i can tell you there are some disadvantages in choosing HR module. As you know well SAP Acquired Successfactor, now all the HCM consultant are in need of learning the new cloud solution to survive in the near future. May be after some years, the core HR module might be completely replaced by the cloud (SF).

However FI module still strongly holds its 'On Premise' identity and still no cloud technology is introduced.You can start preparing FI configuration by your own and could possibly migrate your career into your dream functional role.

Hi Jashim,

As Ravi said, im too marking the same...

You can take strongly for HCM module which will be better option campare to Basis. because in basis some time later you too feel difficult in working shifts... Possibly if you take Fico,  obviously you should have the good background knowledge of Accounts side. But if you work hard in preparation, then FICO also better choice.... Finally Its all in your choice only.....
