1. EHS Expert & EHS Easy Expert-

Both are used to make update in the specification master using rules. EHS Expert content will be provided by third party who maintains the data of the chemicals as per the ever changing legal regulations. company has to comply with those changes(it will reflect in lot many places in EHS process/reports/compliance). To comply with those changing regulations (eg. R & S phrases), companies opt for EHS expert service. the change in value will be determined by using the rules you create & updated in yur specification database. SAP system will communicate with Expert server via RFC.

3. Global Label Management-

Global Label management is like sds, msds. but the configuration part changes a lot. using glm, one can maintain the necessary label data & contends needed to be shown in the label through Material master (no of packaging layers used for a product, relation between packaging units, label type, size & validity region) Specification master(risk symbols,instructions etc.) Your sales data (eg. batch no as barcode) can also be printed in label.

For both EHS Expert & GLM, you need to install EHS Management server as MS windows service first. Then using that you need to set up EHS Expert server & Generation server as service..

only small add on: the "Easy Expert" is used rarely to support compliance wihton a company as you can only insertt, update, change, delete according to very simple rules.

The use of "Expert Server" can speed up during the data maintenance. Rule sets are available by content providers (e.g. SAP). but you can create them by yourself. Like WWI it will take a while to understand how to use this tool. As mentioned you need additional hardware. Using Enhancement packages fiunctionality the functionality has been increased.

Most companies does have interest in maintenacen of SDS/MSDS related data. Therefore the content provider delivery especially rule sets in that area.

There are some discussions running in this FORUM regarding Expert and Easy Expert but there seems to be only "less" interest
