discount based on total weight of sales order

Hi,

My client requirement is that if total weight of the sale order is 9 M.T then customer will get .%5 discount on the value , if it is 15 M.T then 1% and 20 M.T it is 2% and client is expecting to determine the discount value automatically in sale order.

Hence it is based on total weight  I planned to go ahead with header condition type but it does not have any sequence o get determine so kindly give me your suggestion how to go ahead with this requirement.

Thanks,

Suresh.k

Hi,

Instead of going with Header condition try with Item condition

Step1: Copy Freight condition KF00 and rename it assign it to existing pricing procedure(optional)

make your custom Item freight condition with below settings

1.Maintain Group condition check mark

2.Group Condition Routine 1-Over all Document

3.Scale Basis as-Gross weight scale

4.Check value-Descending

step 2: create condition record for "Freight Condition(custom-ZF00)

maintain scales as per your requirement.

now test with newly created sales order and update your feedback still getting any error.

Krishna thanks for detailed answer. I liked it.

Just have one query - Can we achieve same functionality through header condition type?

Hi,

As per my knowledge it's not possible with Header condition because it doesn't have access sequence.

but as per suresh requirement need to maintain scales for freight condition here.

so instead of going with Header condition better to go with Item condition.

Hope it clear now.

Krishna.

Hi Krishna,

Could you please explain me on how the scales are maintained?? because if the scale is maintained on a particular Material it won't calculate the value on the total Document(as the requirement is on total sales document) ... it'll calculate on Item level only..

If it is marked as a group condition how to maintain condition records ???

Could you please explain in details how does this work.. am i missing something here

Thanks,

Sriram.

Krishna,

I maintained as per your screen shot and suggestion i got it perfect.

The thing is if i try with different material which has got different Material Group it still calculates the Freight based on the Scale..

If the Group condition is ticked on the condition type where does it check from? Is it from material group in Material Master Basic Data 1/ Sales: Sales org 1screen?? If yes, why is it still calculating the freight for two different material groups??

Attached screen shots of 2 materials for your perusal,

Looking forward.

Sriram.
