Fixed asset Add on Issue.

Dear All

When I try to run Depreciation Run it fails and gives following error message:

The depreciation run 100000053 failed and has been cancelled;

Error: 23309 (Accumulated depreciation account for ordinary depreciation is missing (Account determination 0))

Please help to resolve this problem.

Hi:

The system has a 'dummy' Fixed Assets GL Acount Determination , '0'. With no GL Acounts defined for it.

It seems to me that you have defined in the system a fixed asset in which the Depreciation area 100 (Booking Area), is Active, with a depreciation type that will involve  a posting of depreciation, linked to an asset class that has the booking area 100 linked to this 'dummy' asset GL account determination '0'

Please do check asset classes and ensure that they have for booking area a GL account determination that has the basic GL accounts defined  for Asset Balance and Ordinary Depreciation
