Periodic Tesing in SAP

I’m working with a client and we are discussing SAP functionality for periodic testing (similar to stability testing in pharma). What we want to know is whether we can set up (specify) different testing periods that are flagged by SAP(yearly, quarterly, etc..) for raw material and/or finished product. If possible, we do not want to use a manual (excel based) testing program to determine when a sample needs to be pulled for testing. The client is currently on ECC 6.0 EHP3.

Firstly on the indicator Check best before date/ Production date in OMJ5 plant wise.

Next in material master you have to activate the recurring 09 inspection setup in quality view.Next Add Min.Rem. Shelf life ?? & Total shelf life (in days)?? in plant data stor.1.Next add inspection interval in days in quality view.

Schedule the JOB in QA05.

Management of stability studies is a standard functionality of SAP ERP module for QM. This is based on the capability that one can create test plans comprising a series of periodic testing. For illustration refer to attched picture. Details can be also taken from SAP online help (stability study)
