Hide a column in crosstab

what if x is the sum of x and y and i want to hide y in the crosstab in webi 4.0, can you please help me how to hide the column , as if i am using the hide function in if condition its not taking the calculated values of x and y in x,

Can you provide the formula which you are trying to use in hide column option. Also, a screenshot would be helpful to understand your problem clearly.

I have done the calculation of sales i.e the addition of branded seed of one product with the other product using formula, this formula i used for dividing the sales (

) , as i have summed the total corn seed and corn traits and placed the calculated value in "total corn Seed", i need to hide "Corn Traits" column in the cross tab ,Can u plz help me in dis unable to send the sceen shot as the data is huge

If I understand your requirement correctly, do you have following type of cross tab table?

	Total Corn Seed	Corn Traits
Supplier A	789	456
Supplier B	999	345
Supplier C	123	12
Supplier D	567	123

And you would like to hide "Corn Trait" column. Correct ?

If above is true then please review your requirement, as "Corn Trait" is not a column. Its a row, as shown below and you can remove it by using a quick filter webi.

Total Corn Seed is a product dimension and net sales, volumes comes as a Group dimension, as u said when i keep a a quick filter, the addition formula done for Total Corn seed is not taken its showing the original values rather the summed
