Issue with viewing dashboard in SAP portal with IE9

Hi,

Need your help/advise for the below issue.

We created a design studio application and it is running fine in BI launchpad. But, our users will view the dashboard from SAP portal. After deploying the dashboard in SAP portal, users with IE8 are able to view the dashboard. Users who are using IE9 are not able to view the dashboard. They are getting a blank screen.

What could be the issue? Please help.

Hi Satyam,

i have the same problem with IE 9.

My platform is composite by :

- BI 4.1 SP2

- DS BIP-Addon SP3

- SAP Portal EP 7.00 SP26

Could the SP1 of DS BIP-Addon SP3 solve this issue?

Hi Satyam,

May I ask you the version of BIP you are using?

This issue was fixed with

4.0 SP5 Patch 9 (AKA Patch 5.9)

4.0 SP6 Patch 2 (AKA Patch 6.2)

4.0 SP7 RTC

4.1 RTC

Hi Bharath,

Thank you for checking. We are using BIP Product: 14.0.6 .

We are able to see the dashboard in IE9 from BI launchpad. Now, issue is with SAP portal (EP). Users who have IE9 are are getting the blank screen.

Was there any replay from SAP for that one?

We are having the same issue with blank page through EP for dashbords with graphs.

Environment:

BO 4 SP6 patch 3

NW 7.31 SP 07

Our portal team raised a request for SAP support on this. They are looking into it. Issue is not yet resolved.

Hi Satyam,

We are having this issue after upgrade to BI 4.1SP2 and on NW 7.3.1 SP7.

Did you find a fix to your issue?  If you post for help, you should post the resolution

Hi Lee,

In order to display applications created with design studio correctly in the SAP netweaver portal, some configuration steps needs to be performed using SAP NW administrator. These steps are available in the ebook written by Ingo. Portal team need to create a seperate iview for design studio.

we need to implement this. It is in plan.

In our case, Our portal team used the document link of application in the iview.This is just like open document functionality, i guess. we can open the BO document link from any where (as it is URL).

Our portal team has implemented this. I really don't have the exact steps what they have followed here.

Hi,

This was done in our environment to fix:

- Patch 12 for component “EP RUNTIME 7.31 SP07” + patch 03 for component „EP APPLICATION EXTENSIONS 7.31 SP07“

- Upload of XML file from SAP note 1737445

- Property “Launch in New Window” set to “Display in separate headerless portal window (standard mode)” in your BO iview

- Create a new role, set the role as entry point, add your iview to this role and assign the role to a test user (optional; for testing purposes only)
