Does anyone have a conclusive list of catalog numbers for the various Replication Server versions/platforms and options?  I've been looking on sybase.subscribenet.com and sybase.com and have yet to find one.

Can someone post the catalog numbers?  I'm fighting with SAP Jam to accept my email address still.

Hi Jason, the following was posted on SAPJam on 8 August 2013:

In the latest SAP price list, there are some differences worth noting when it comes to the material codes for SAP SybaseReplication Server (SRS).   In an effort to simplify the packaging, some options have been removed from the SAP price list, and bundled into new SRS Offerings.

Repserver Bundling 101

SRS is bundled by creating Replication Server Editions.  These Editions are extended with options that add additional functionality for these editions.    In some Editions - we include relevant options to ensure that the solution can adressthe use case we're targeting.

Here's what we have on the price list today.

Editions - Replication Packages

Material CodeEditionWhat is it used for
7016184SAP Sybase Replication Server, enterprise editionBase Replication Server Solution - includes ASE replication functionality - source and target.
7015806SAP Sybase Replication Server, real time loading edition Replicating data into Sybase IQ from Oracle and ASE
7016180SAP Sybase Replication Server, heterogeneous editionReplicating data between traditional RDBMS solutions - Oracle, Db2, Sql Server and ASE
7016181SAP Sybase Replication Server, change data capture editionReplicating data from traditional RDBMS solutions into ETL Solutions - like SAP Data Services
7016183SAP Sybase Replication Server, SAP HANA editionReplicating data from traditional RDBMS solutions into SAP HANA

The edition is the first thing to be determined when selling SRS.

Options - Extending Replication Server Functionality

Material CodeEditionWhat is it used for
7016178SAP Sybase Replication Server, option for Microsoft SQL ServerLicense to use SQL Server as a source and target for replication
7016179SAP Sybase Replication Server, option for IBM DB2License to use DB2 as a source and target for replication
7015805SAP Sybase Replication Server, option for oracleLicense to use Oracle as a source and target for replication
7016182SAP Sybase Replication Server, option for SAP HANALicense to use HANA as a target database

Options are meant to add sources and targets to SRS Editions - with one little caveat:   Some Editions already include Options!    The only edition that does not include options is SRS, Enterprise Edition

Here's a mapping that describes which options are included in Editions:

EditionOption
SAP Sybase Replication Server, enterprise editionNone - includes ASE functionality by default (all editions do)
SAP Sybase Replication Server, real time loading edition Includes Oracle Option - and IQ as a target - ASE functionality by default
SAP Sybase Replication Server, heterogeneous editionIncludes SQL Server, Db2, Oracle options -  ASE functionality by default
SAP Sybase Replication Server, change data capture editionIncludes SQL Server, Db2, Oracle options, and internal delta database - and ASE replication functionality by default
SAP Sybase Replication Server, SAP HANA editionIncludes SQL Server, Db2, Oracle, HANA options - ASE functionality by default

The following items have been removed from the price list - because SRS, Enterprise Edition now contains this functionality.

7011803SAP Sybase Replication server
7011804SAP Sybase Replication server, Advanced Services Option
7011805SAP Sybase Replication server, Data Assurance Option

Let me know if there are any questions or comments.

thanks

how are specific releases identified using the above codes?  For example, Rep Server Enterprise 15.7.1 for Linux x86-64?

Hi Jason

I have a SAP Replication Server migrate/upgrade question for you.  Is this the best form for such questions?
