SOLMAN_SETUP error on 7.1

Former Member
0 Kudos

Hi,

We're on Solman 7.1 SP8...

We had an issue with opening SOLMAN_SETUP with SP 4 too...

With SP 8, it accepts the credentials on the main webpage & then gives the same error as SP 4:

500 SAP Internal Server Error

ERROR: Syntax error in program CL_WDR_NW7_PAGE_CTRL_ADP======CP . (termination: RABAX_STATE)

I wasn't able to find any Notes for this...please advise...

icm/host_name_full has been set to FQDN

Thanks a lot.

Saba.

Ok. What is the level of your SAP_BASIS component? Also make screenshot of CREATE_PAGE_CONTENT method of CL_WDR_NW7_PAGE_CTRL_ADP class (in SE80) and attach it here.

Try to check versions of CL_WDR_NW7_PAGE_CTRL_ADP and class of m_sapgui_handler. If they both from one SAP_BASIS component level?

Hi Roman,

Sorry but not sure how to check for m_sapgui_handler

Hi Karthik,

The Note has been applied via SNOTE...

Thanks !

Hi,

Go to RZ10 and check parameter icm/host_name_full then edit your PC /etc/host file and add solman server IP and icm/host_name_full value

Ex. 10.0.0.20     solman.server.com

Hope this helps

Hi Jose,

I've tried that too...but its the same error:

SE38 for Class interface CL_WDR_NW7_PAGE_CTRL_ADP has a syntax error:

With SP4, we never saw the login page for SOLMAN_SETUP too (with IE)...however; after SP 8, this error comes up after entering the credentials...

Thanks a ton for all the help !

Have you looked into tx SPDD and attempted to reset modifications?  I had some issues related to E2E Change Analysis (it refused to work and only provided me with 400 errors), ST-A/PI SP01 I believe prompted me for SPDD and after reviewing some of the items in there and reset some the Change Analysis works for me 100% of the time now.

Hi Everyone !

Thank you so much for all the super helpful replies !

The issue has finally been identified...

The syntax error was in CL_WDR_NW7_PAGE_CTRL_ADP--> CREATE_PAGE_CONTENT, row 11. By double clicking the

"m_sapgui_handler" --> "Associated Type"

CL_WDR_SAPGUI_INTEGRATION2--> Version Management showed us a TR which had been mistakenly imported from a system on a different release !

Using an access key, the code was compared with a "good" 7.1 system & the corrections made...

Now SOLMAN_SETUP works fine

Thank you !

Saba.

Hi Jose,

Should we not apply Note 1775242 via SOLMAN_SETUP...

Anyway, I'll try this too n let you know...

Thanks !

You can apply it via snote and Solman_setup will still function as expected when you get to the section to import the central note.

Also do you have the proper authorizations for solman_setup as you have a HTTP 403 error?

Hi Saba,

Apply the note 1775242 -SAP Solution Manager - basic function 7.1 SP8 through snote transcation

Once applied, some time Inactive objects is present after Note implementation due to this inactive object also u will get the error, so try the below report after note implementation

  • Run the report "SCWB_NOTE_ACTIVATE" in SE38
  • Enter the note number(1775242)
  • Execute (F8) and activate the objects.

please try now to open solman _setup.

Hi Karthik,

Thanks...just tried this but to no avail

Guess Solman_setup just doesn't like me

SE38 says no objects to activate (after implementing the Note)...

Is there anything else I can check...

Atleast the basic Tcode should open up.....

Thanks a lot !

Hi Damian & Sudheer !

Port 8000 is open...webgui works fine...

DB2 is on 10.01.0002 & kernel = 7.20 patch 442 (Have seen Note 1896920)...

We were earlier on SP 4 (New Solman 7.1 installation)...n SOLMAN_SETUP (when run for the first time) had the same issue...hence moved to SP 8...but the issue still prevails

DB2 has auto update stats...

Have raised an OSS too..

Thanks a ton everyone for all the great inputs

Happy Sunday !

Dear Saba ,

Update the statistics manually will be helpful. It seems it have been bug in this area .In my case i have updated the statistics manually even though the ATM in dbacockpit take care of it automatically.

Thanks for the replies !

Hi Shkelzen,

The program in my dump is different than what's in this Note...

Hi Sriram,

We see the below for SOLMAN_WORKCENTER:

Service cannot be reached

What has happened?

URL call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

Note
The termination occurred in system with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.

What can I do?

Please select a valid URL.

HTTP 403 - Forbidden

Your SAP Internet Communication Framework Team

The service ags_workcenter is active but the test says the same thing: can't be reached...

ags_work_appln works fine so does webgui.

I also have the workcenter admin role...

N yes, every time we try to access SOLMAN_SETUP, we see a dump in the system:

Category               ABAP Programming Error

Runtime Errors         SYNTAX_ERROR

ABAP Program           CL_WDR_NW7_PAGE_CTRL_ADP======CP

Application Component  BC-WD-ABA-REN

Date and Time          05.09.2013 10:03:47

Short text

Syntax error in program "CL_WDR_NW7_PAGE_CTRL_ADP======CP ".

(Screenshot in first post).

Please advise...

Thank you !

Hi Saba,

Yes, the program in your dump is different but I thought it could give an idea as it is very similar issue.

Actually, there is no note with exactly that program, as you say.

Good luck!
