How to upload Default Bin Location to Item Master in V9 PL05

Hi - I have set up my Bin Location Master Data and imported all my Inventory Item Master Data via DTW in to SAP. Now I want to import the information telling SAP what bin location each Item is in but can't find which template to use as it doesn't appear on OITM.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

After 1 hour I solved my own problem!

In DTW Generate Templates for Item Master Data

Select OITW ItenWarehouseInfo

Input stock code as Parent Key

Enter System Number in Default Bin Column

Select Y or N to enforce Default Bin

In DTW select Master Data

Update Existing Data

Inventory, Item Master Data, Item Warehouse Info

Hey Presto - It works!

Hi Tim,

Regarding this solution, what if I will only set a default bin location for a certain warehouse?

Coz I tried uploading the template that you suggested, but the error always says "The entry already exists.."

Did I miss out on something?

Hope to hear from you. Thanks!

Hi Tim Guest,

As of 9.0 version, the there is no template for bin location template.

Not sure in which version they added.

Please refer SAP note 1833098 - Bin Location template in DTW and overview SAP note for 9.0 PL04
