Frame for Design Studio Application in NW Portal too small

Hi Experts,

I use Netweaver incl. Portal as backend for SBOP Design Studio. After developing an application I tried to run it in NW EP. This opens an IE window as expected and the application is executed. However, the frame where the application is located is way too small and I do not see any property where I could adjust the frame size.

Please see screenshot below for further illustration.

Any ideas?

Thanks & regards

Tobias

Hi,

thanks for your reply. I checked the parameters of the standard iView and even created an own iView according to the guide you referred to: no change in size!

standard iView: still small frame

own iView: small but even blank frame - no error message but also no application loaded

Parameters:

Height Type: Full Page

Isolation Method: URL

Fixed Height: 80 px (I changed this parameter to say 800 without any effect)

any further hints from your side?

Hi Tobias,

May I ask which version of NW you are using? >=730 SP9 , >=731 SP7 ???

And have you deployed 1.1 SP2 SCA in the portal?

If you have upgraded to the latest SCA there might be a update issue in the AppIntegrator layer, please restart the portal after deploying the new SCA. After restarting, make sure (in Deploy View) that the "portal" component under DESIGN-STUDIO-NW-APP is really running (you might have

to refresh the view manually after the restart).

Hi Tobias,

did you find a solution for your problem?

I have the same problem with BW 7.3 SPS 9.

Christoph

PS: What a coincidence: Do you remember BI certification in Hamburg...? 🙂

Hi Christoph,

of course I remember great meeting here again!

Unfortunately, I could not solve this issue yet.

I face this issue on BW7.31 SP8 with SBOP NW 1.1 SP2.

I will update to SBOP NW 1.1 SP3 soon. Hopefully this will solve the issue.

Best regards

Tobias

Hello,

i had also that problem.

My issue was that my IE 11 was in compatibility mode for that URL.

So maybe uncheck that also at your IE and then all works fine .

I noticed same issue, and I had to play with IE Compatibility Views to get it to work as intended, however it seemed specific in IE and not Chrome or FireFox.  Also you could use a wrapper page to stretch it back to a more appropriate height but that still feels like a workaround...

Hi guys,

I upgraded now to SBOP design studio SP03 but still the problem with the size of the iView remains: 150px height is the fixed height.

In Firefox it works pretty well, just in IE 9 it does not work.

Any further hints from your side?

Thanks

Tobias

Hi Tobias,

we were able to fix the problem.

Please have a look at this comment mentioned by Ulrich: http://scn.sap.com/message/14455087#14455087

We were forced to update our complete java-stack to sps10 (7.30) because it was not possible to update "ep runtime" on its own.

But now the application is shown in full size.

Christoph

Use a full sized portal page to bind the iView.

This should fix the display of your Application in Portal
