Hi all,
We are implementing ESS and MSS EHP6.
Our requirement is to enable employee to update the qualifications. I read a blog explaining as part of EHP6 the Qualifications shall be managed by employee via Talent Profile.
The blog i am refering to is:
As a reason, we are only implementing ESS / MSS and not implementing comprehensive Talent Management module, hence we did not activate any business component for Talent Management.
I need your inputs in this regard, where i should configure Talent Profile for Employees and Managers now. Do we have to activate Talent Management?
or is there any other way to configure Talent Profile alone?
Pls help
Thanks
Gita
But why you don't need Talent profile as there is no extra work to enabled this in ESS. Its standard delivered, its another story if you want to TM Specialist, there you might to do some OM structure relationship like 741 etc.

You need to activate the switches refer above, the documentation on sfw5 for the switch HCM_TMC_CI_1
Activating the TM-Switch has no impact on existing HR-functionality. It
just enables the new TM functions.
You can enhance the personal profile application - so that the employee can maintain his qualifications(infotype 0024). Refer here:
Hope this helps.
With regards,
Sahir.
