SAP MDM system is currently in SP8 which supports Visio. Unfortunately, step properties does not appear in Visio 2010. Already followed instructions in Data Manager. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks!
This issue was resolved as follows by IT Support (after trying many previous versions of Visio):
1. Uninstalled Visio and SRM MDM tools
2. renamed user profile on c drive
3. renamed user profile in registry (hkey_local_machine > software >Microsoft > Windows NT > Currentversion>profilelist)
4. Logged on as Local Admin
5. Installed Visio 2010
6. Installed SRM MDM tools
7. Logged on as my user
8.Opened SRM Data Manager
9. Open Visio (via Workflow)
10. Step properties now showing.

Please follow the below steps and let me know the results:

Hi Cindy,
In order to see the step properties you nee to point the Visio to the Workflow.vsl file.
Please follow these steps:
1. Open Visio 2010 and navigate to File tab.
2. Click on "Options".
3. In the Options dialog box, select the "Advanced" (on left) and scroll down to "File Locations..."
4. In "File Locations" you need to enter the Workflow.vsl path in both "Add-ons" and "Start-up".
(Full path include file name i.e: C:\...\...\Workflow.vsl)
5. Click OK and restart the visio.
NOTE: if the step properties still doesn't appear, you will check you workflow addon registry entry and
verify the path of the Workflow.vsl is correct.
the Workflow addon entry is under:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP\<SID>\Client\Workflow
and one of the entries is VSL Path which should contains the path for the directory of the vsl file (just directory level!)
Hope this would help,
Yoni
