Food at TechEd Vegas?

Is there any food provided at TechEd or is it a "bring your own energy bar" thing? I know Vegas is the city of many culinary opportunities but, from my past experience, it could be quite difficult to actually get a decent meal fast. And I tend to get "hangry" very fast.

Looking at the agenda at (SAP TechEd Las Vegas | October 21–25, 2013 | Agenda), there's a continental breakfast and lunch served on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  On Friday, pastries and coffee.

Energy bars are always a good idea because the convention center is immense and you'll easily work up an appetite moving around all day.  a water bottle is also great.

Besides that, as you already know, the Palazzo & Venetian offer many excellent culinary options, including several restaurants and a food court.  Here's a handy PDF map for your reference showing all options and more: TheVenetian & ThePalazzo Campus

Jelena,

In addition to the meals offered, there are also snacks. I've never had problems getting enough to eat during TechEd; my challenge has been to keep myself from over-indulging in the cookies (biscuits), chips (crisps), trail mix, and other temptations! Of course, carrying energy bars is a good back-up plan.

Right: those cookies are delicious!

A decent cup of coffee is often a bit of a challenge

Indeed, the Cubhouse is the place to go for a decent coffee. It is not always convenient, especially if you are several floors away and on a tight schedule, but when you have time, join the queue.

Well, this kind of goes for the whole US, no?

Thanks so much for your replies! Hey, if there are any fellow foodies that would be up for a dinner at some off-the-grid place where allegedly "all the chefs eat", let me know .

Lack of food at Teched was never an issue for me .  Not that they need any promotion but if you want to attend a decent meal(on your own dime of course), with good company I strongly recommend the enterprise geeks dinner at teched http://enterprisegeeks.com/2013/09/16/enterprisegeeks-annual-teched-dinner-2013/

Take care,

Stephen

I have been known to go to Denny's on the Strip for "comfort food" - not all the time, but it is still good to have.  The service is good and fast.

There is a food court between the Venetian and Palazzo - it isn't too busy either.

For coffee, the convention center coffee is not too good; I really like the Palazzo's Coffee Bean, Casino level - service is good, coffee is good - but expensive, of course.  Yet I am there at least 3 times a day
