If I understood your requirement correctly, your client  want to give some discount to some key customers as and when a quotation is generated.  If so, you can very well achieve the same by having one condition type in your pricing procedure being used for quotation.  This condition type should have access sequence Table 307 so that in condition record, it is enough if you just maintain that customer code so that system will fetch the required discount only to those customers.

Dear Lakshmipathi,

When Geetha is mentioning header condition clearly --then obviously no access sequence is required and there by tables too.

i am unable to reach your suggested solution on this requirement.

Why are you recommending item conditions with Acc.Seq in the given scenario.

Please help me to reach your point.

Obviously, you need to give header condition manually in each and every sale order.  Since as per OP's post, the discount would be to some key customers and there is every chance that users, while creating quotation, may tend to forget to input manual condition type.  Instead, if they maintain a condition type with access sequence as Customer, it is enough if they maintain the required discount for customer code thereby, system will take care of the business process.

Geetha,

Your explanation is not clear!

1. What is the criteria for giving a discount?

Give few business examples

2. Why do you want to configure a Header pricing condition type?

Do you want the volume (or weight) of all the line items to be added, and then the discount be calculated?

3. Is this discount for some customers, or for all customers; depending upon weight / volume in the quotation?

Dear

in my business process we want to attractive customers as possible as quickly so while creating quotations some header discount we want to show the customer

ex: if he buys 10000 rs stock we will give 300 rs discount

and if he buys 20000 rs stock we will give 650 rs discount

So if we show like this i mean when ever customer asked me if i buy 20000 rs stock what is the price?

so thats way i have asked my doubt

Hi Geetha,

You can use SCALES feature of condition type. For your discount condition type first check the scale basis. If its Qty then you can define your price according to Volume.

Like from 0-100 PCS, Price will be 1000.00 Rs.

From 101 to 500 PCS, Price will be 850.00 Rs.

For quantity more than 1000, the price will  be 700.00 Rs.

This way you can achieve your discounts based on volume.

When customer inquires about the price, it must be relevant to item so it would be a good idea to define these discounts on item level.

Alternatively, choose or create a condition type which has Value as Scale basis. Include that condition type in your pricing procedure. Since the value of this condition type is based on net value, do not give any FROM and TO for this. You can to provide 002 as BasType.

Now using VK11, create condition record with Scales. All different net values on which you want to define discount should be part of your scale.

I hope this will help.

Amit

Geetha,

I agree with Amit and G Lakshmipathi, go for condition type at item level (not at header level).

Also rather than price, go for the unit in which goods are sold (e.g. KG, CC etc.)

To add the kilograms of all the line items and then give a discount, use Group Condition  functionality (in V/06, check field "Group cond.")

Also look at condition type K029.

In any case, when you / user goes to the header level of the quotation; the total discount can be seen. Also, as comment by members, it would be automatic (users would have to manually fill this discount).
