Extension Of Document Type Description.

Dear Guru's,

I know the maximum length of Document Description of Document types is 20 Characters.

Is it possible to extend to 40 characters. If Yes please tell me how to configuration.

Hi Bhanu,

Extension of character length of document type is restricted to 20 char.

If you want extend, then only options are to create z table or use characteristics.

But it is always recommended to restrict your doc. Description to 20, so that developments can be restricted.

Hi Bhanu.P,

I think document Description of Document is the standard of SAP and you can not change type of document but you can create UDF field to do the same way what you want.

I hope you have a open idea.
