Can we use a RKF in a row based structure

Trying to create  income statement report.

Tried to create a RKF and use it in Row based structure.

It is not allowing me to use it in Row based structure.

Any options or tips to use it in row based structure.

Hi Bharan,

you are correct. It will not allow you to add in row structures.

As per Bex standards, you will have two structures - one is for characteristics, one is for key figures.

• Key figures structure, CKF; you can access characteristics also for RKF.

          It is by default get added to query.

• Characteristics structure, key figures are not accessible here.

          It will be useful for year based/ particular scenario based data format.

I tried one method it worked.. I was not able to check the output as the keyfigure doesn't have values in it.

there are two structures.

1 in rows and 1 in columns

I tried to use  the RKF in row structure which didn't worked.

The Turn around solution which i tried is..

in cell definition

using helpcell it looks like it is acheivable.

Created auxillary selection or formula and we can use keyfigures are characteristics in it and

i created a selective RKF cell and used in cell wherever i require it.

I didn't test it fully.But it looks like it will work.

i tested it. it is working perfectly.

I tried in two ways.

1.

created help cell(Auxiliary cell) for the RKF.

and used that auxiliary selection or formula in the cell where i wanted the value to be appeared.It showed the value which i am expecting.

2.

After creating auxiliary selection cell i directly used in row based structure inside the formula. It worked perfectly there as well.

Auxiliary cell can be used in row based structure only inside a formula.

I got the required output and hence it is achievable.

Hence,To use RKF in Row based structure enable cell definition and create a help cell (auxiliary cell) and then use it in

screenshot attached.

Wherever your keyfigure structure is, your RKF should belong to that structure, row or column doesn't matter.

it is not working out.

As the RKF is a keyfigure based. IT is not allowing me to drag to  without keyfigure based structure.

The requirement is i have to use it in row based  structure

Hi Bharan,

You cant have  KF on Column and Row..it will not allow.

By using Selection you have RKF in Row but then in Column it would be a Char or CalmonthCalyear.
