Error while starting BI setup job : CCMS_BI_SETUP

Dear all,

Can someone tell me wish authorization should I give to the user solman_admin in order to enable him to update the service content on the Setup BW of my solution manager basic configurations step 5 (configure Automatically)

The error says that the job is being cancelled because of the this authorization.

Here is the error message:

Hi Nelson,

Check transaction RSA1. If it asks "replicate metadata?" select "only activate". Then retry the step in SOLMAN_SETUP.

Have a look at the role SAP_SMWORK_ADMINISTRATOR_COMP, this is the admin role for SAP Solman

YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS - Done,

What I did was:

1. Assigned all roles mentioned on the other folks post

2. Run the transactions RSA1 and followed the tips

Hi All,

One more tips, i had a same problem after system migration. I did all your suggestions (Role assignment etc..)but no luck.

Even if you don't get popup once enter the RSA1 T-code don't go back, in same page Goto -> Source system -> Right click Source system name in right side -> and click Activate. You will get error message if your source system not connected properly, then follow the error message.

My case Source system RFC is not working due to wrong Host and User name entry. Finally i changed right one and all went well.

I think this depends on the Support Pack you are using. Please use Solman_Setup to activate the customizing content, followed by an update of authorizations of your SOLMAN_ADMIN user after applying new support packs.

FYI , the following roles are required for BI content activation on SP10

SAP_BI_E2E

SAP_SM_BI_ADMIN

SAP_SM_BI_EXTRACTOR

Thank you for the feedback right, these roles were not there just the starting with Z. So I put them but the error still, but I can find on the logs the corresponding one on the list of canceled jobs.

1. The error still: Error while starting BI setup job : CCMS_BI_SETUP and the:

Message: A failure occured while calling CCMSBI_RUN_SETUP_IN_BTC at ABAP Host=localhost sys=00 client=001 admUser=SOLMAN_ADMIN rfcUser=SMD_RFC

Details: A failure occured while calling CCMSBI_RUN_SETUP_IN_BTC at ABAP Host=localhost sys=00 client=001 admUser=SOLMAN_ADMIN rfcUser=SMD_RFC !! Exception : BI_NOT_READY(Abap cause=/SLMCLNT001/LS//RSSEND////)

Hi Nelson,

Please double check the phase 2.4 create users in basic configuration so that all the user and required authorization is execute completely.

Also, in system preparation phase 1. create user for user solman_admin did you created and assigned all the proposed roles,

All these phase were passed correctly, do I need to re-run them after setting these authorizations roles?
