InfoView main page header and footer file location?

I am revamping our InfoView environment and am  curious as to where the files are for the header and footer of the  InfoView main page.  I've attached a screen shot with the header and  footer circled.  

I do know that I was able to change the default SAP blue color to our  company's orange color by copying the headerplus.jsp file from  production to our test and dev servers.  But when I review that file I  cannot find any modifications so I am not sure how the headerplus file  is used in relation to the header/footer?

I think I should have specified that we are using a BO 3.1 SP6 environment and not BO 4 yet.  I'll take a look at using .css for our customization but from what I can determine the previous modification was done by directly modifying the source files, not by creating a new custom .css file then applying that.
