Hi,
Client uses new exchange rate O.
As updated, the source records coming as
Material 0currency 0doc_currency Revenue
DE3 USD USD 1156.2
GH6 INR 478
JU6 EUR EUR 4895
Client wants the below data:
Amount in Local and Amount in Document Currencies.
Amount in local need to be displayed in INR.
Am also confused about the date reference to be used in RSCUR for exchange rate to be used. I need the payment date from the data record to be used as reference for the exchange rate.
When trying to create a currency translation type in RSCUR with type "O", it says Select Valid exchange rate type.
Checked in TCURV on BW side and don't have this exchange rate type "O".
Please suggest
Hi Aditya,
As you read my bolg about creation for currency translation using RSCUR.
while creating please exlpore infoobject for determining target currency in target tab.
For time char I am not sure about wheather you are able to use payment date or not if you have 0cal day in your target then use 0calday.
hopes it will help.

Ganesh Bothe

Hi,
you need to either load the exchange rate type from a source system or create it in BW.
Then maintaine echange rates.
Then create a currency conversion type.
then you can use this one in your query.

you just put into google something like "SAP create new exchange rate type" and you find a lot of answers - i.e.
http://scn.sap.com/thread/1756039
but before you create it, make sure that it is not an exchange rate type that is also used in the source system. If it is used there you should load it including the exchange rates.
Go to RSA1 choose the source systems, right mouseclick and choose "Load exchange rates"
for the time char - you have to see which char the system offers you to choose. I am not sure about specials like "payment date", I think only real time char like 0CALDAY will be available.
regards
Cornelia
