Hi Keerthi,

This configuration is available for fields which have multiple values(multi-values) and it is required to break them into multiple fields for mapping to destination.

Please look at the attachment below.

Hello Ravi,

Can you please confirm,

We can't syndicate a single record for tuple-multivalued it will syndicate multiple records. If i want it in single record means then i need to go with XML right?

HI Keerthi,

Yes with entire tuple data would do and tuple level filtering is not available.

You can filter data in PI based on required logic.

Hello Ravi

We planned to go with ETL not PI

Hi Keerthi,

That should not be a problem. Its a basic transformation for ETL.

Hi Keerthi,

There's no option to export single record where by a record have more than one value in a tuple or QT Table. you will need to play aorund with your access or excel.

I am also having another doubt how to import multi valued tuple data using single source file?

Hi Keerthi,

All this is because target file cannot hold repeating segments.

Since it is a flat file it will have a multiplying effect in number of records.

e.g If a Vendor is present in 3 Purchase Orgs then number of records in Flat file will be 3*1 = 3 records.

Suppose you connect the same file using Import Manager, then -

For main table there will be only one record as Vendor id is the primary key and every record has the same value.

For Purchase org Tuple - Purchase Org can be Primary Key for "Set Tuple Update Option" and it will hold 3 entries if you create new.

I would suggest, running a complete cycle to get the complete picture.

Thanks,

Ravi

Ya tried that but i don't want records to be repeated.I want multi valued tuple data to be updated in single record is there any possibility?

Hi Keerthi,

It would be one to one mapping, meaning there would be 2 records created in text file for 2 values in tuple. Both the values will have same remote key/primary key but different tuple primary key value.

Thanks,

Ravi
