GS1-2D barcode not being read correctly

Hi,

We have created an ITS service which is supposed to scan the GS1-2D barcodes. The device used is OMNI-XT10 & browser used is wavelink industrial browser.

We have a GS1 barcode with material/serial no encoded, and separated by an invisible <GS>.

Previously we had configured the device to translate this invisible <GS> into a readable character, and then decoding is done by splitting the string at that character.

However now the user does not want any device configuration. While checking for any possible solution, we found a property , 'BarcodeInput' for the fields on module pool screen (in the element list), which if set to true, converts the invisible <GS> to ]C1.

We set this property but when we received the scanned string, the invisible <GS> was not converted and decoding was not performed.

Please let me know if I am missing out on any settings due to which this conversion is not happening.

What is your SAP BASIS and Kernel version on the Netweaver from were the ITSMobile service is being called from?

What are the GUI Configuration settings of the ITSMobile service in question; this can be seen via transaction SICF?

What template generation style was used to generate the ITSMobile templates in SE80?
