Error while installing SAP JCo connector in Eclipse

Hi All,

I’m getting the following error while installing SAP JCo connector in Eclipse IDE 3.5.2.

Installation Procedure:

  1. Download the Eclipse.
  2. Install the import wizard for the JCo plug-in connectors (from http://rcer.sf.net/update-site ).
  3. Importing the SAP Java connector by specifying the JCo libraries from the SAP market place (sapjco3-NTintel-3.0.10.zip).
  4. Install the SAP R/3 connector SDK (from http://rcer.sf.net/update-site ).

So I’m facing the issue in the last step #4 while installing the SAP R/3 connector SDK.

Error:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

Software being installed: SAP R/3 Connector SDK 0.1.0.201104252054 (net.sf.rcer.sdk.feature.group 0.1.0.201104252054)

Missing requirement: SAP R/3 Connector SDK 0.1.0.201104252054 (net.sf.rcer.sdk.feature.group 0.1.0.201104252054) requires 'org.eclipse.xtext.ui 0.0.0' but it could not be found

I have attached the error screen shot.

Please help.

Hi Alok,

Could you please make clear that what exactly you are facing. You are going to develop an application in IDE (Eclipse) and that will connect you to your SAP System. Is this you are looking for or something else.

Thanks,

Hamendra

Hi Eli,

the thread title is a ltlle bit confusing as the original poster had an issue with installing this tool "SAP R/3 Connector for Eclipse" which is not the SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) itself.

This "SAP Connector for Eclipse" tool is not from SAP.

The project's homepage seems to be http://rcer.sourceforge.net

As no one was able to help here within the last year, I'd suggest that you drop a note to the author as proposed in the project website's FAQ section. Maybe the author would post his reply here as well.

Best regards,
Stefan
